Water treatment for glass washing machines
All-in-one! Fully automated, plug-and-play compact water treatment unit for rinsing zones. Many years of experience as a supplier of water treatment for the glass industry has made it possible to design a complete solution. The solution consist of the following parts:
Demineralized rinse water: The water is first pre-treated in an ion exchange softening unit and then demineralized using reverse osmosis, a chemical-free technology. The demineralization process ensures no spots, dirt or residue, and greatly enhances adhesion of PVB film.
Water saving: A properly designed recycling process reduces the demand for fresh water. The rinse water is reused/recirculated through a special dual filter that is a combined gravel and activated carbon filter. The filter removes cutting fluid, leftover residue and particles, including glass chips, interleavants, and other contaminents.
Storage tank and booster pump: The make-up water as well as the recycling water is collected in a storage tank. The treated water from the tank is supplied to the rinsing zones by a pump integrated on the skid.
Automation: The process is completely automated with sensors and triggers that ensures that everything operates smoothly. The unit has been prepared for integration with other control systems.
