Rinse water for surface treatment at SEB group factory

The world leader in non-stick cookware and a world leader in irons, cooking appliances, pressure cookers, food and drink preparation products and scales, has specialised in surface treating frying pans and other cookware with teflon coating. EUROWATER has supplied and installed the water treatment plant for the surface treatment facility in France. For this factory from the SEB group the water quality is one of the key factors that determine how well the teflon coating sticks to the cookware surface.

The plant is built around two UPCORE demineralization units and a CO2 degasser, that produces 2 x 4 m³ of very low conductivity water for the rinsing process.

The water is demineralized according to the patented principle of UPCORE, combining all the known advantages of water demineralisation through ion exchange with the counter-flow regeneration principle, in which the flow direction of operation and regeneration is opposite. Thus, it is ensured that the water being demineralised constantly meets the ion exchangers (resin) that are better and better regenerated concurrently with the water passing through the ion exchange column. The principle ensures that the treated water leaves the best regenerated ion exchangers last.
