300 m³/h filtration of groundwater for starch production

The customer is AGRANA Starch GmbH, specialized in processing and adding value to high quality agricultural commodities such as corn, potatoes and wheat. The Starch segment includes a range of production facilities hereunder a wheat starch mill in Pischelsdorf.

The water treatment solution consists of pressure filters for removal of iron and manganese from own groundwater supply. After filtration, the water is used as drinking water and inlet water for existing, larger softening plant, also supplied by SILHORKO-EUROWATER. The water is used in the refinement of starch products for food applications, mainly food ingredients but also for animal food.
